Netflix Releases Short Film Meridian But It’s Not For You To Watch!

Netflix recently released it’s first original short film called Meridian.

It’s a 12-minute Noir styled mystery film set in the 1940’s era of LA and revolves around a detective trying to solve a case which revolves around the disappearance of three men. As exciting as it might sound but Netflix hasn’t made this movie for it’s 83 million subscribers.

Netflix released “Meridian” as test footage to test and evaluate it’s engineering requirements such as video codec performances and Streaming capabilities.

Netflix is giving access to this film for free to hardware manufacturers, codec developers, competitors like Amazon and Hulu or anyone who wants to experiment with it.

If you have a Netflix account, you can watch Meridian here
